Back from Egypt!!

I know, I've been back for a week and no updates... sorry! All in all, the Egypt tour was a success. The ministry workers in Egypt were thrilled with the work we did, and they took great care of us. The partnership between our ministries is off to a great start, and I would imagine they'll use Keynote's bands for outreach again in the years to come. Audiences responded very well to our music and message, and we had many meaningful after-show conversations with English-speaking students. The Egyptian staff had even more conversations in Arabic with non-Christian students. They have lots of new students interested in their meetings, and lots of new contacts to follow-up with. Back in Alexandria!

We were in Alexandria for 3 shows (and yes, I got my guitar!). Then we did 4 shows in Cairo, which is big, loud, dirty and fast. And now we're back in Alexandria for the last of our concerts, and then we'll come home Friday. I promise to get better pictures up later, but some of our new friends in Alexandria are all over Facebook. They have loaded lots of shots that they took at our shows here. Made it, mostly!

Okay. Can't write much, internet access here is a little spotty. But blue sky nine made it safely to Egpyt, as did 94% of our gear. My guitar did not make it to Cairo yesterday. So that was a bit of an upset. But as of just a few moments ago, we got word that Egypt Air has located it and is sending it to Alexandria, where we are doing our first few concerts. So hopefully, by show time tomorrow, that will all be straightened out! Everything else is good, we're getting acclimated and rested and all that.
